A boiler that regularly cuts out is annoying and can mean your home isn't heated properly or that you're temporarily without hot water.
A boiler cutting out can have several causes. In many cases, you can first carry out a few simple checks yourself.
What can you check?
First check the following points:
- Check whether the water pressure is sufficient.
- Check whether an error code is shown on the display.
- Check whether the thermostat is set correctly.
- Reset the boiler according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Does the boiler cut out again after resetting? Then something more is probably going on, and a check by a technician is advisable.
Possible causes
A boiler can cut out due to, among other things:
- Water pressure that's too low.
- A recurring fault.
- A defective part.
- Overdue maintenance.
The exact cause is often not immediately clear without a check.
When should you contact us?

Take a photo of the display with the error code where possible. This helps us assess your request faster.
