Underfloor heating normally provides an even distribution of heat through your home.
When some rooms do get warm and others stay cold, this can have several causes.
What can you check yourself?
Check:
- Whether the thermostat setting is correct.
- Whether the relevant zone(s) are open.
- Whether the temperature setting per room is correct.
- Whether furniture or rugs are affecting heat output.
Keep in mind that underfloor heating responds slowly. A change in temperature can take several hours before it's fully noticeable.
Possible causes
Common causes are:
- Incorrect balancing of the underfloor heating.
- Air in one or more zones.
- A problem with the pump.
- A problem with the manifold.
- Different heating needs per room.
When should you contact us?
Contact Bouma when:
- One or more rooms remain consistently cold.
- The underfloor heating heats unevenly.
- The installation was recently adjusted but isn't working properly.
